genomics, adaptation, and speciation
I am a biologist interested in evolutionary genomics, hybridization, adaptation, and speciation. Currently, I am a postdoc in Jon Velotta's lab at the University of Denver. I study the role of structural genomic variation in adaptation and the evolution of male reproduction in high-altitude deer mice. I recently received my PhD from the University of Denver in Erica Larson's lab where I studied the the role of disrupted gene regulation during spermatogenesis in hybrid rodents as well as the population genomics of hybridizing cottontail rabbits. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Virginia working with Deborah Roach, and then I worked for three years in Anne Yoder’s lab at Duke University as a Research Associate focused on the evolutionary genomics of mouse lemurs.
